Aviva Mongillo has over 150 million streams to her name, and growing. Most known for own music, released under the name CARYS, she was signed to Daytripper publishing in early 2019 after they saw her perform in a stuffy office space with nothing more than a piano. Later that year, her song Princesses Don’t Cry reached #2 on the World Viral Spotify charts after organically becoming a Tik Tok trend. Having already signed as an artist to Warner Music Canada, the attention brought Atlantic records to the table for the release of her EP “To Anyone Like Me" in 2020

Since the launch of the CARYS project, Aviva has written with collaborators like Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepson, Simple Plan), House Of Wolf (Carlie Hanson), Derek Hoffman (Arkells, Ralph) and many more, as well attended song camps such as Music Publishers Canada - American Independent Music Publishers writing camp, Create - UK, the Anti Social Producers Club inaugural writing camp, and the BMI SXSW writing camp, focused on writing for both CARYS and for others. Her first non CARYS cut, ‘Drinkin Alone’ was released by Cooper Bloom via Inside Pocket/Warner Music Canada in the spring of 2021, and with a new CARYS record on the horizon and unreleased cuts secured, this is only the beginning for Aviva Mongillo.
